Dear Mike,
The complete renovation of our master bathroom and bedroom has been done with such perfection I couldn't be happier and the travertine entryway and fireplace are so beautiful. You executed my ideas and brought in wonderful ideas of your own, I'm sure there is nothing like it anywhere. Your people are here first thing every morning when you say they will be and they always clean up before they leave in the evening. After dealing with other contractors in the past you and your company have been a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Joan Howard

We had damage from a water leak so had to have the entire downstairs floor re-done. In addition, we had a new paint job, crown molding, and a new dishwasher installed. Five Star Improvements did excellent work on all counts! Their guys were on time, worked long hours, and cleaned up after themselves each day. They were polite, eager to help in other areas (such as re-hanging mirrors and pictures), and finished everything in two weeks. Our home looks like a new home!

My dealings with the contractor/owner were excellent. However, the electrician he hired punched an excessive amount of holes in the walls, banged my wood table with his ladder, and was very short in his communication. The contractor's employee who wrote the contract and was my contact person did not list an element concerning the fans which led to a great deal of confusion. She did not get back in touch with us about the electrician until days later, even though we expressed that we were having painting done in the area on a timetable. In the end, she became very emotional and unprofessional in conversations. The owner was much more professional and reasonable and even resolved the issue in our favor. The plumbers connected the toilet to the hot water line. I notified the contractor/owner and he corrected the problem very quickly. The only thing left is we are waiting to receive the standard lien release.

The work performed for demolition, tile work, electrical and plumbing were excellent. The work done for the shower glass installation and the cabinets was excellent. The painters who did the wall plastering and painting were adequate. Communication was not always the easiest due to our lack of understanding of technical terms used in the construction business. The overall result met our expectations and brought us great satisfaction with the project. We would suggest that the service would be greatly improved if all the contractors were to meet prior to demolition to clearly state what each required of the homeowner to more readily allow their tasks to be completed- electrician, plumber, framer, tiler, cabinet maker, etc. This would have helped to alleviate some of the communication problems. Also it would be helpful to have a breakdown for the construction with what is considered standard features versus upgrade: tile, cabinet, mirror, toilet. This is not to give the impression that the services provided were not of the highest quality and done with the greatest attention to integrity and consideration. It is solely to inform how the service could be improved.

I have to admit my views on General Contractors has been corrected. Not only did the crew show up daily when they were suppose to, the project completed two days early. My original bathroom was unliveable & know I am so pleased! Fred & his crew were curtious & clean. I can not wait until they start my kitchen!

Good job in the tiles in kitchen, and replaced broken tiles after requested,(still waiting for extra tiles promised), good job in bedroom addition of an arched opening, but worker not good on details and took too many short cuts, even used my own new base boards to finish his job.
